Low Voltage Systems for Car Dealerships & Auto Groups

Lot cameras, plate capture, key room access and showroom Wi-Fi, installed around your sales and service hours.

Data Pro Communications installs low voltage systems for car dealerships, used vehicle lots and multi-rooftop auto groups across Florida. Our crews work from the Orlando headquarters and design the cabling, cameras, access control, networking and audio a modern store runs on. One licensed team handles your showroom, service drive and back lot.

A dealership is several businesses sharing one parcel. Sales needs a fast network for desks and guest devices. Service needs paging and camera views at every bay. Inventory sits outside overnight, often across acres of open pavement. We plan all of it as one system, so your managers can watch the whole property from one screen.

Infrastructure That Protects Inventory and Keeps Every Department Online

Enhanced Security

lot, entrance and key room activity recorded and easy to search.

Reliable Connectivity

steady Wi-Fi for sales desks, service writers and the customer lounge.

Operational Efficiency

one cable plant carrying cameras, doors, phones and music.

Customer Experience

clear service lane announcements and a comfortable showroom.

Challenges in Automotive Dealership Environments

A dealership mixes a retail floor, a repair shop and an open-air vehicle yard. Each part puts different stress on your infrastructure.

Exposed Inventory

Rows of vehicles parked outdoors after closing are hard to watch without planned pole positions.

Key and Cash Control

Key rooms, finance offices and parts cages need tighter rules than the showroom door.

Detached Buildings

Service, body shop, detail and wash buildings often sit far from the main network closet.

Wi-Fi Gaps

Metal service bays and wide glass showrooms leave dead spots for tablets and guest phones.

Mixed Vendors

Cameras, gates, phones and music added at different times rarely share a network or a support plan.

Integrated Systems Built for Dealership Operations

We treat the store as one site with several zones: showroom, offices, service drive, shop, parts and lot. Each zone gets the devices it needs, and all of them ride a shared, documented backbone. That keeps your network closet orderly and your support calls simple.

On the lot, we place cameras on poles and buildings to cover inventory rows, entrances and the service lane. Plate recognition at the drive entrances logs vehicles coming and going. Inside, readers protect key rooms and finance offices, while Wi-Fi covers the sales floor and every service bay.

For auto groups, we repeat the same design at each rooftop. Your camera layout, door rules and network settings stay consistent, so a manager or IT provider can move between stores without learning a new system.

Integrated Systems Built for Dealership Operations

Planning a dealership or auto group project?

Building a new store or refreshing an older rooftop, we will plan systems that watch the lot and keep sales and service connected.

Our Process

Four steps take a dealership project from the first lot walk to signed records.

01

Assessment

We walk the showroom, service drive and lot, then mark gates, inventory rows, outbuildings and existing closets.

02

Design

Drawings show pole spots, camera views, reader doors and fiber routes before any trenching begins.

03

Deployment

Crews phase the work around sales events and service hours, and finish showroom tasks before doors open.

04

Commissioning

We test each camera view, plate read, door and access point, then train your managers on daily use.

Automotive Dealership Systems FAQs

Do you install security systems for car dealerships in Florida?

Yes. We install IP cameras, plate recognition, access control, Wi-Fi, paging and the cabling behind them for franchise stores, used car lots and auto groups across Florida. A project can cover one service drive or an entire campus with several buildings. Our licensed crews handle the work from design through testing.

Can you cover a large inventory lot without trenching to every pole?

Often, yes. Where trenching is costly or blocked, we can carry video from distant poles over point-to-point wireless bridges, as we did at an Apopka yard. Poles closer to a building usually get direct-burial cable. We choose the method after walking your lot and checking line of sight.

Can license plate recognition work at our entrances and service drive?

Yes. We mount dedicated plate cameras at drive entrances and the service lane, aimed for the angle and distance the plates need. Each read is logged with an overview image, so your team can search arrivals by plate or time. Platforms include Axis and Uniview plate recognition cameras.

How do you schedule installation around sales and service hours?

We plan noisy work and network cutovers before opening, after closing or on slower weekdays. Lot trenching and pole work are staged so inventory can be moved in sections. Your general manager approves the phasing plan, and we keep cameras recording through the switch from old equipment to new.

Can our auto group use the same standard at every rooftop?

Yes. We document one design for camera layout, door rules, network settings and labeling, then repeat it at each store. Brivo, PDK and UniFi each support managing several locations from one account. A new store opens on the same standard, and support staff do not need to relearn anything.

Can you lock down key rooms, finance offices and parts cages?

Yes. We add readers and electrified hardware to the doors that hold keys, deal files or parts stock. Each employee gets access by role, and every opening is logged. Brivo Access is cloud-based, so managers can add or remove a credential without visiting the store.

Which camera and access platforms fit a dealership?

Most dealerships pair Axis or Uniview cameras with Brivo or PDK access control on a UniFi network. Axis and Uniview both offer plate recognition, and PDK adds an outdoor gate controller. We recommend a platform after reviewing your lot size, number of stores and who will manage the system day to day.

Can you reuse the cameras or cabling we already have?

In most cases, part of it. We test existing cable runs, recorders and cameras to see what can stay in service. Sound equipment is kept, and weak links are replaced in stages. This approach protects your budget and keeps the lot covered while new devices go up.

Do you work with dealerships outside Central Florida?

Yes. Our headquarters is in Orlando, and we take on dealership projects across Florida. Central Florida stores get local site walks and crews. For stores farther away, we plan travel and staging so each site receives the same design, labeling and documentation as stores closer to home.

What documentation and support do we get after installation?

You receive as-built drawings, device and port schedules, camera views, door lists and test results. Your IT provider gets login handoff and labeling that matches the drawings. We can also set up a maintenance plan with remote health checks, similar to plans we run for other outdoor camera sites in Florida.
